Technical Director Structural (IC Contract)

Your Next Challenge

• Act as RSE and perform RSE duties for buildings and infrastructure projects including statutory site supervision requirements.
• Provide technical expertise, sound advice and appropriate solutions and to lead design submissions to meet the client and statutory requirements.
• Provide statutory advice and proactively liaise with clients, other appointed Authorised Persons, Registered Geotechnical Engineers, and stakeholders and attend meetings as required.
• Assist in the delivery of multiple projects from start to complete and to meet the clients expectations, cost and programme.
• Assist in the business development of the Buildings market through client liaison in the preparation of technical bids.
• Offer support and guidance to other members of the project team.

What You'll Need

• Holds a current valid registration for Registered Structural Engineer, as prescribed under the Buildings Ordinance.
• 20 years+ experience in the capacity of a Registered Structural Engineer. 
• 25 years+ post qualification experience on buildings and infrastructure works, and on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Structural design experience for aviation and civil industries would be an advantage.
• Communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, authorities, stakeholders for approval of submissions.
• Project management and people skills to work with project team and for effective project delivery.
• Familiarity with relevant codes of practice, practice notes and local legislations.  Knowledge in international design standards would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with private and public works consultancies and construction contracts in Hong Kong.
