About the role

Mott MacDonald are currently looking for a Transport Planner in UAE to support the delivery of on-going projects and also support the company’s positioning for prospects in the marketplace.

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

• Contribute and support in a variety of transport planning and mobility studies including large scale master planning and transportation assessments, traffic impact studies, parking studies, mobility strategies and plot developments.  
• Contribute to the preparation of high-quality written transport planning reports and technical analysis. 
  
• Working closely with project managers and other internal disciplines to ensure timely completion of analysis, reports and plans as required. 
  
• Competent in the use of traffic analysis software such as SIDRA, SYNCHRO and HCS.  
  
• Coordination with internal design disciplines as well as external stakeholders and statutory authorities.

Candidate specifications

• Minimum Bachelors’ degree in a relevant engineering discipline; a Masters’ in Transport Planning and Engineer would be advantageous.
• Experience with prior experience as a Transport Planner in the areas of transport planning/modelling/engineering in the UAE.
• Project experience and familiarity with local UAE transport trends and transport planning practices and standards.
• Competence with Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel and Power Point)
• Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken.
• Membership to a relevant, recognised professional institution would be a distinct advantageous.
• Candidates in the UAE will be preferred.
