Mott MacDonald and WSP to continue helping shape the future of UK’s roads

Mott MacDonald in partnership with WSP, has been appointed to the Specialist Professional and Technical Services 3 (SPaTS3) Framework, commissioned by National Highways. The new six-year framework, with an estimated value of up to £495M will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the UK’s strategic road network.

This appointment, with WSP as lead contracting party, marks the continuation of a strong and successful collaboration between the two companies, built through SPaTS2 and earlier frameworks. SPaTS3 is the latest evolution of National Highways’ long-running engineering advice services framework, designed to provide expert support across 26 specialist workstreams, including geotechnical and pavement engineering, asset management, intelligent transport systems, environmental services and strategic planning.

Since 2006, Mott MacDonald and WSP have delivered specialist advice and research services to National Highways, including key initiatives such as its Net Zero Plan.
