Mott MacDonald has moved into a new state-of-the-art office in Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey in New Zealand.
The global engineering, management and development consultancy's Auckland office was the firm's first in New Zealand. Opening in 2011, the office has grown to over 250 staff members. As an employee-owned company with a long history of working with clients in Auckland, the move to the One New Zealand building at 30 Daldy Street reflects its commitment to the city’s future. The new office space provides room for continued growth and enhances its ability to deliver exceptional services across water, transport, energy and buildings infrastructure projects.
“Our new space is more than just an office – it’s a statement of confidence in Auckland’s future and our role in shaping it,” said Mike O’Halloran, Mott MacDonald managing director for New Zealand. “We’ve been privileged to work on some of the city’s most impactful projects, and this move ensures we can continue delivering world-class solutions for our clients and communities.”
The local team has contributed to landmark projects including Auckland Airport Domestic Processor, City Rail Link, Northwest Busway, and the Rosedale and Snells Beach Wastewater Treatment Plants. With enhanced facilities and collaborative spaces, the new office will support innovation and sustainability as Mott MacDonald continues to draw on technical excellence to deliver outcomes that benefit their clients and the communities that they serve.
Designed for collaboration, sustainability and innovation, the new office incorporates energy-efficient features and spaces that promote wellbeing, creativity and teamwork. It also enables Mott MacDonald to leverage cutting-edge digital tools and smart infrastructure solutions, ensuring projects are delivered with resilience and efficiency.
“As we look to the future, our focus remains on partnering with clients to create positive social outcomes and sustainable growth,” added Mike. “This new office gives us the platform to do just that – combining global expertise with local knowledge to help shape a better Auckland.”
