Ashis Kumar Das

Ashis is the technical director for advisory services within Mott MacDonald’s South Asia business. He has been instrumental in strengthening delivery, technical excellence, managing power and industrial projects and growing the business.

Ashis is an accomplished mechanical engineer with more than three decades of experience in conceptualisation, design and implementation of thermal, gas turbine combined cycle, renewable energy including energy storage, PV module and battery manufacturing.

He has worked on consultancy assignments for clients in India and several countries across the globe, including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Dubai, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Botswana, Senegal and Sierra Leone.

Since 2008 when Ashis joined Mott MacDonald, he has served in several capacities in various business units and divisions and has successfully guided our clients in energy transition and industrial decarbonisation. His experience encompasses technical advisory, design and engineering, procurement and contracts, cost and project management as well as performance improvement.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with honours from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and a cost and management accountant qualification from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
