Biography

Clare leads development of our UK and European energy business, which spans nuclear technology, gas and electrical energy grids, energy generation and storage, including services in planning, environment and consents, engineering and design.  

Clare started her career at Mott MacDonald over 30 years ago as a hydraulic engineer on projects in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, before gaining chartership and completing an MBA, which led to roles on power projects worldwide. Clare has strong experience in supporting infrastructure finance transactions from a technical and commercial perspective and has led development of business across energy subsectors in the UK and internationally for over 25 years.   

As development director for energy, Clare drives business planning and investment strategies aimed at sustainable growth. This involves fostering market awareness, strengthening client relationships, forging partnerships, and enhancing work-winning capabilities. 

Clare is a member of Mott MacDonald’s shareholders’ committee and a trustee of the company pension scheme.
