John Hansford

John Hansford has been instrumental to the growth of Mott MacDonald’s work in the defence and security sector since joining the business in 2021. Since then, he has successfully led some of the most significant and high-profile programmes within the defence portfolio. 

 As principal advisory account lead for defence, he is responsible for project and programme delivery of numerous projects for both UK and US defence clients. Having gained chartered engineer status with the Royal Auronautical Society and as a former Royal Air Force officer, John gained considerable expertise during his 22 years of military service delivering major programmes in diverse and demanding international environments.  After leaving the military, John worked in senior roles within Boeing Defence UK and the Major Projects Authority before joining Mott MacDonald. before joining Mott MacDonald.
