Biography
John has built a distinguished career in the energy sector since joining Mott MacDonald as a graduate in 1990. He quickly progressed through roles that took him across Europe, southeast Asia and the Middle East, where he has been based since 1998.
His experience spans the full energy landscape, covering thermal and hydro power generation, nuclear and renewable generation, transmission and distribution, and energy asset management. Alongside his technical expertise, he has strong commercial, contractual and leadership capabilities. This enables him to deliver concept design, front-end engineering design, detailed design, coordination, construction supervision and complex project execution.
John contributes to regional energy strategies, manages key client relationships and oversees major frameworks across energy generation, transmission and asset management.
He also plays a central role in advancing large‑scale energy initiatives that support national sustainability and decarbonisation priorities, including programmes aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
