Aviation – it came from the heart, and I have just followed it ever since!

Why did you choose to join Mott MacDonald?

I had a fantastic opportunity to broaden my skill set and deepen my expertise in airport planning, while collaborating with a dynamic global team. What thrilled me most was contributing to groundbreaking, one-of-a-kind airport projects that push the boundaries of innovation and design.

How has your career progressed since joining?

Since joining Mott MacDonald, my career has grown significantly as I’ve embraced increasingly challenging and fulfilling roles. I’ve also developed a deeper understanding of the business aspects of our work, in particular, assessing the financial impact of projects on the team and the organisation.

What have you learnt while working at Mott MacDonald?

Understanding the intricacies of business development has been one of my most valuable lessons.

How do you demonstrate Technical Excellence in your work?

By leveraging tools and templates to attain efficiency in our way of working. Whether it's designing efficient airport layouts or solving operational challenges, I strive to deliver innovative, practical, simple yet effective solutions, which exceed expectations.

At Mott MacDonald, sustainability is prioritised and embedded within everything we do. The same philosophy is adopted in aviation work, where we plan and design airports to make a positive difference for people and the planet.

My role has taken me to diverse locations, including global hubs and emerging markets. These experiences have broadened my perspective, enriched my understanding of cultural nuances in planning, and allowed me to contribute to projects that shape the future of aviation.

What are your career highlights and achievements?

One of my career highlights has been contributing to iconic, one-of-a-kind greenfield airport projects that set new standards in design, technology, passenger experience and efficiency.
