Biography

Describe what the Mott Mac Life means to you in three words

Connectivity, excellence, groundbreaking.

What do you enjoy about working here?

The variety of challenges that we encounter on a daily basis, combined with the support from colleagues across the network. It keeps the workplace environment dynamic and invigorating.

Tell us about your specialism and why you chose it

Working in the geotechnical and tunnelling space requires a sophisticated combination of science and art to solve the unique challenges that are posed by the wide variety of ground conditions.

Why did you choose to join Mott MacDonald?

Having been on the client side for more than 10 years, I had worked with many consultancies. Mott MacDonald stood out as one of the very best and a great fit for me personally.

How has your career progressed since joining?

I started out in highly technical roles but have since transitioned into management, which requires a different set of skills. This demonstrates the continual learning and growth opportunities available at Mott MacDonald.

Where in the world has your role taken you?

Singapore was my base for a long stint, and most recently I have relocated to Hong Kong, but I’ve had the pleasure to work out of our Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Melbourne and Sydney offices.

What are your career highlights and achievements?

Over the years I have worked on more than 50 metro stations and overcome multiple technical challenges, and I still get the same satisfaction every time a new one opens and I can experience travelling on it. Even more satisfying is seeing the positive impact we’ve had on so many commuters and the wider environments in which they are travelling.
