Simon Harrison

Simon Harrison is a leading expert in energy policy and infrastructure development and is our Group head of strategy. He has more than 35 years’ global experience spanning energy systems, thermal, nuclear, hydro and renewable power, electricity networks and infrastructure resilience.

Through his work, Simon has played a major role advising governments and private sector clients on engineering aspects of energy transition and sustainability. He has recently played a key role advising the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero as a Clean Power Commissioner, leading pivotal senior industry groups developing what is now government policy.

Simon has been honoured with Fellowship of several prestigious institutions, including the Royal Academy of Engineering and The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), also serving as the current deputy president of the IET. Simon was appointed a Mott MacDonald Fellow in 2025.
