Your Opportunity 

Our Defence and Security Division team within our Australian business are looking for  a strategic and results-driven PMO Director to lead the Program Management Office for a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure initiative. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of complex, multi-year Defence program. The PMO Director will establish governance frameworks, drive performance, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives across all program streams.

  • Establish and lead PMO frameworks to ensure consistent delivery across defence programs.
  • Oversee integrated planning, budgeting, and resource management across multiple projects and workstreams.
  • Ensure compliance with defence, regulatory, financial, and contractual requirements.
  • Lead risk, change, and issue management to maintain program integrity and responsiveness.
  • Provide strategic reporting and insights to senior leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Foster a high-performance culture, mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement and PMO maturity.

About You

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in leading PMOs for large-scale infrastructure or capital programs
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex stakeholder environments
  • Expertise in financial oversight, risk management, and performance reporting
  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or Business
