Role and Duties of an Electrical Engineer (EE) at site
- EE shall study all the approved drawings and specifications shared by Design team before the start of any electrical activities (Cable tray, Panel installation, etc..) at the site.
- EE are accountable for the implementations and monitoring of all electrical related operations at the site as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules.
- EE plans the execution of all Electrical related works and coordinates the works to mechanical, instrumentation and civil groups as a collaborating approach.
- EE estimates review the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all Electrical and related works prior to execution.
- EE interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to the execution of any jobs.
- EE will be carrying out all Electrical Works which includes installation of transformer, HT or LT panels, earthing, lighting, etc… as per standard installation qualification documents (IQ). The same should be verify or supervise during commissioning.
- EE should prepare or review the all the necessary check lists for equipment’s installation along with ME as per approved quality assurance plan (QAP).
- EE should intervene or coordinate with ME for specialty equipment (Process / Utility) supplier / vendor’s engineer along with client for the witness of installation as per their standards.
- EE should attend regular meetings with a client, civil engineers, and consultant to provide an update on project progress.
- EE should review and intervene for any new items (not included intender) or change in specs for change initiation and approval from the client before proceeding.
- EE will do verify the reconciliation of all electrical items as per the bid and submit to client with approval of CM.
- EE to verify and do the approval of electrical contractor invoice.
- EE is accountable to review and maintain the statutory documents of electrical testing and charging as per requirement of local electrical authorities.
- EE is accountable for as built mark-up on drawings from contractor and submit to Project Manager.
- EE is accountable for handover all concern documentation to the client.
Candidate Specification:
- Qualified Electrical Engineer with proven work experience as an EE at site in a chemical plant, Agro-chemical, bulk drugs or pharma plant.
- Basic knowledge of installation, termination and charging for Electrical equipment like Transformer, DG, Panels, UPS, etc
- Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel.
