Engineer III Civil

Mott MacDonald’s GES Portfolio is currently seeking a Civil Project engineer for one of our NJ offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our solid waste management, site civil, and environmental resiliency projects.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of projects from concept through completion.
  • Planning: Prepare or review feasibility studies, reports, and permitting
  • Design: Develop design and produce calculations, construction documents, and cost estimations.
  • Construction: Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and attend construction progress meetings.
• Oversee, mentor, and assign, tasks to junior engineers.
• Coordinate with and manage the work of other disciplines involved in a managed project.
• Develop new clients and manage the work of multi-project clients. 

We invite applications from candidates with the following: 

• 5 to 8 years of civil design experience in public site development or solid waste management facilities (transfer stations, landfills, or recycling facilities).
• Currently pursuing a Professional Engineer License.
• Strong communication, problem solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Strong design and analytical/technical skills.
• Developing project management and leadership skills.
• Established client relationships are preferred.
• Proficiency of AutoCAD Civil 3D with the ability to develop construction documents.

Salary Range: $82,000 - $101,000
