Role Overview: As an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer/Geotechnical Engineer, you will develop and apply engineering design skills within a defined area of work, performing standard professional tasks under supervision. You will contribute to projects, support team members, and develop your technical expertise in geotechnical engineering.

 

Candidate Specification :

  • Bachelor’s or Master´s degree in civil engineering (geotechnics)
  • 2-6 years geotechnical design experience.
  • Active Hungarian and / or English.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of the latest design software packages such as Plaxis, GeoStudio, RocSciences, Repute DeepEx, Midas GTS NX or similar is advantage but not a condition.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to work in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational capability.
  • Demonstrate continuous strive for a professional development and willingness to learn.
  • Structural design skills are welcome

  • Operational Compliance:
    • Develop knowledge of the organization’s policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory codes.
    • Ensure adherence to required standards and seek authorization for any exceptions.
  • Engineering Solutions Design:
    • Carry out digital design activities under supervision, providing feedback and contributing to the validation of engineering solutions.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment:
    • Follow HS&E policies and procedures, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure the wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Solutions Analysis:
    • Analyze specific problems and issues under guidance to find the best technical or professional solutions.
  • Performance Management:
    • Develop and propose performance objectives, and take actions to achieve agreed objectives using the organization’s performance management systems.
  • Personal Capability Building:
    • Participate in development planning activities, formal and informal training, and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices.
  • Project Management:
    • Support project management activities, contributing to the delivery of projects within defined time and quality parameters.
