About the Division
The Water Utilities Division is Mott MacDonald’s centre of excellence for responding to the UK and Ireland's water and wastewater challenges. The work we do is at the forefront of ensuring safe water supplies for future generations, preventing urban flooding, and improving the health of our rivers and coastal environments. Our multi-disciplinary teams provide a variety of services throughout the full project life cycle, from advisory services and feasibility studies to outline and detailed design. Overview of the role
Our Asset Management and Infrastructure Planning team is one of five sub-sectors within our Water Utilities Division, which employs around 350 people across the UK. We work in the water sector and with other infrastructure providers both in the UK and internationally in the following workstream areas:
We are growing our asset management consultancy services for the UK Water Industry. Due to successfully winning positions on strategic frameworks we have a number of opportunities for experienced asset management professionals to join our team.
We are specifically seeking a Principal Asset Management Advisor in our Regulation workstream predominantly supporting our clients with economic regulation. You will support the regulator through the PR29 cycle to assess company submissions and provide technical expertise in various policy areas such as investment proposal assessment, reconciliation of incentives and company performance & delivery. You will also support our water company clients improve their asset management and investment planning capabilities, helping them to make and document better investment decisions. This includes preparing high quality regulatory submissions.
Following the findings of the Independent Water Commission (IWC) review, the regulatory environment is expected to undergo significant and rapid change. This is an exciting opportunity for you to support our clients adapt and navigate through this evolving regulatory change.
You will be sharing your asset management expertise with peers and mentoring junior staff. Reporting to the Workstream Lead, you will be an important part of our investment planning team and the wider asset management practice community.
