The Opportunity 
 
Mott MacDonald is currently looking for a Principal BIM Modeller in our Building Structures team to be based in Singapore. In this role, you will be engaged in projects of diverse sizes, contributing to a challenging, varied, and demanding environment that offers exceptional avenues for both skillset enhancement and career growth. With a robust technical background, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of building structures and projects, all while actively participating in cultivating and nurturing client relationships. 
 
A day in the life of this role may include: 

• Independently produce 2D & 3D drawings based on engineers’ sketches and markups. 
• Assist with performing simulations and creating clash reports for design review sessions. 
• Works on overall drawings to identify and resolve possible clashes; Produces coordinated layouts and sectional drawings. 
• Ensures CAD/ BIM standards be applied on projects and follow proper QA/QC while preparing the drawings and models. 
• Assisting with the management of the BIM platforms used on projects. 
• Support BIM implementation, preparing models, curating information, and ensuring standards and protocols being followed. 
• Assist with model federation and design resolution activities, including assisting in model navigation and leading the team during model-based design review meetings. 
• Ensure proper documentation based on project BIM workflow. 
• Work with the team to develop solutions to enhance analysis and delivery outcomes of built environment projects, including dynamic 3D visuals, interactive videos, XR experiences, automation workflows, data visualisation and data analytics. 
• Participate in research and exploration initiatives of new technologies and innovations in the Architectural Engineering and Construction industry.

About You: 

• Technical/Professional certificate in Engineering/ Diploma in Civil/ Structural Engineering /BIM Modelling. 
• Experience of Modelling / BIM / Revit in the Building Engineering and consulting sector. 
• Knowledge of building information modelling, its process and implementation 
• Proficient with BIM, REVIT, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Naviswork, Civil 3D /Open Roads etc. 
• Detailed knowledge of Singapore and international BIM protocols and standards (including ISO19650 and BCA BIM submission requirements) 
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English, a team player and collaborative outlook.
