Your Opportunity

Mott MacDonald's Water team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital Designer in the Brisbane Office. We have recently been appointed onto the fully integrated ambitious Next Generation for Delivery program with Urban Utilities. Spanning up to 10 years, NG4D will see the planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, network, and treatment infrastructure across Urban Utilities’ South East Queensland operational area, This initiative will help address some of the most pressing challenges facing the region, including climate change, population growth, and ageing infrastructure. This role will interface with local delivery teams providing digital engineering on project and technical support to other staff, as well as liaise with the Global Delivery Service team for offshore delivery of digital engineering on projects.

 

  • Oversee and coordinate a team of digital designers to program and budget, and to client and industry engineering, model and drafting standards. 
  • Collaborate with other partner design and/or construction organisations, including client members.
  • Support, develop and mentor junior digital designers.
  • Apply your past construction and commissioning experience into all aspects of digital design.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Support and provide input to new bid opportunities.

 

About You

  • Diploma of Engineering/Associate Degree in Civil Engineering (minimum).
  • Experienced user in Civil 3d, Revit, 12D Model and/or is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience as a digital designer delivering water and wastewater projects across networks and treatment.
  • Extensive knowledge of local and national standards, including Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) standards and drawings (incl. SEQ amendments).
  • Experience in or aspiration to take on a management and/or leadership role to lead a team of digital designers.
  • Proficiency in general Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Experienced user in setting up and managing CDEs such as ProjectWise, BIM360, ACC and/or Synergy 12D.
  • Be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and written skills.
