Your Opportunity
Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Mott MacDonald's Transport team has an exciting opportunity for a driven Senior / Principal Engineer to join our dynamic Bridges and Civil Structures team in Brisbane. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative, multidisciplinary projects in collaboration with government authorities and Tier 1 contractors.
Our projects are predominantly infrastructure based, and as a Senior /Principal Engineer - Bridges & Civil Structures, you will be working on large scale multidiscipinary projects that shape the communities in which we live. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia. With a focus on creating safe and climate resilient infrastructure that benefits the economy, society and the environment, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead the design and technical analysis of bridge and civil structure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
- Produce high-quality engineering documentation, including calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Collaborate with clients and project teams across multiple locations to deliver integrated solutions.
- Drive innovation in design while maintaining a strong focus on safety and project timelines.
- Manage small to medium-sized projects, including risk assessment and mitigation.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and growth.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- RPEQ, Chartered or demonstrate equivalent credentials suitable for application
- Bridge Design experience using AS5100
- Understanding of Road and Rail Authority design requirements
- Experience in analytical design using Midas Civil or similar
- Demonstrated experience in delivering Design and Construct projects is desirable
- Leading structures on multidiscipline projects is ideal
- Mentoring team members
