Job profile
We’re growing our knowledge team and we are looking for an experienced knowledge manager to work with our global engineering Practices and support them in managing their technical knowledge. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in content analysis, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement. This role collaborates with key stakeholders to develop knowledge plans, conduct content gap analyses, and implement knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Responsibilities
Content Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Working with key stakeholders: Partner with Global Practice Leads (GPLs) and Site Content Owners to develop comprehensive knowledge plans that align with organizational goals.
- Periodic Maturity Assessment: Conduct periodic assessments of sites in accordance with policies and priorities to evaluate their maturity and identify areas for improvement.
- Review Content Quality and Relevance: Assess content to ensure it meets quality standards and remains relevant to current business needs.
- Knowledge SME: Serve as a subject matter expert in knowledge management for designated practice areas or the Intranet.
- Content Gap Analysis: Identify gaps in content and work with stakeholders to fill these gaps to enhance the knowledge base.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and Sustain Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure their requirements are met.
- Understand and Address Stakeholder Requirements: Identify and address stakeholder issues and requirements to enhance the knowledge management system’s effectiveness.
- Knowledge Sharing: Ideate and Execute Campaigns: Develop and implement knowledge-sharing campaigns to promote the use of the knowledge management system.
- Facilitate Training Sessions: Organize and conduct training sessions to educate users on how to effectively use the knowledge management system.
- Analytics and Reporting: Generate Insights: Analyse usage data to generate actionable insights that inform content strategy and improvements.
- List and Manage Improvement Actions: Identify and manage actions needed to improve content usage and user engagement.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay Updated with Governance and Standards: Keep abreast of changes in governance and standards and ensure their implementation within the knowledge management system.
- Provide Process Feedback: Offer constructive feedback on knowledge management processes to drive continuous improvement
- Content Creation and Harvesting: Develop Guidance and Process Documents: Create and maintain documentation that guides users in knowledge management practices.
- Conduct Interviews: Interview business units to capture and document valuable knowledge.
- Generate Content: Create high-quality content based on the captured knowledge to enrich the knowledge base.
Skills Required: ·
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in knowledge management systems and tools.
- Ability to facilitate training sessions.
- Team management experience
- Experience in content analysis and strategy development.
- Experience in managing sales knowledge and content is a plus (e.g., proposals, marketing collaterals, case studies etc.)
