Our New York City office is seeking a Senior Project Manager specializing in bridge design to join our growing team. Locally, we’re leading complex and high-profile projects, contributing design expertise to major transportation infrastructure initiatives across the Northeast. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of mobility in North America.

 

Responsibilities include:

Lead and supervise the structural design team in NYC, composed of a diverse group of engineers working on projects throughout the Northeast.

  • Support leadership teams by recruiting new talent, developing existing staff, managing team utilization, and contributing to business and strategic planning efforts.
  • Design and develop engineering plans and drawings, including preliminary layouts and final construction documents.
  • Plan and oversee the production of engineering drawings, specifications, investigations, and planning work.
  • Lead junior professionals and technical staff in the design and drafting of preliminary and final bridge plans.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project execution aligns with scope, budget, and schedule from concept through final design.
  • Supervise and/or participate in quality control reviews, ensuring all work meets high standards by checking computations and reviewing designs and drawings.
  • Assist in the development of project scopes, cost and manpower estimates, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, supporting their professional growth and development.

At Mott MacDonald, we provide a comprehensive benefit package that includes 401k, medical, dental and vision insurance, short-term/long-term disability, paid holidays, PTO, parental leave and company paid life insurance. 

The expected salary for this position is $150,000 - $184,000. 

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
