We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Project Strategy and Delivery team in Singapore on a fixed-term 6 months (3 + 3) contract.
In this hands-on role you will lead the successful delivery of existing QS projects, liaising with external project stakeholders and leveraging off our engineers and consultants across all our various markets.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Pre-contract management including vetting of tender documents, tender evaluation, and recommending award for construction contracts.
- Preparation of project costings, contract preparation, and ensure compliance with tendering and procurement procedures.
- Post-contract management including the support of variation orders and progress claims, contract administration and documentation for the project(s).
- Preparation of interim valuations pricing and agreement of contract variations, process claims and the monitoring of project cash flows.
- Carry out site measurements, evaluation, and certification of contractor’s progress payments.
- Prepare valuations pricing and agreement of contract variations.
- Assess contractors claims for variation works, loss and expense and final accounts.
- Attend meetings with clients.
About You:
- Recognised Degree in Quantity Surveying (QS).
- Minimum 5-years of relevant working experience as a QS in the construction industry.
- Proactive, meticulous, and conscientious with the ability to deliver work to a high standard.
- The ability to undertake tasks efficiently, independently, and collaboratively with the ability to identify pragmatic solutions to problems.
- Positive, a team player with a flexible approach to work.
- Commercially aware, a client-centric outlook with an effective client presence.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Self-motivated with a learning mindset.
- Experience in Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC) preferred.
- BIM experience is an advantage.
