Mott MacDonald's Toronto office is looking to hire a motivated individual, reporting to the Requirements Lead, to develop, support and lead the execution of the requirements engineering and requirements management activities on projects executed by Mott MacDonald in North America.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- To ensure Mott MacDonald is aligned with emerging trends in requirements engineering processes and tools
- To develop and maintain relationships with members of the Rail Systems Practice and the greater Rail & Transit Practice in North America and elsewhere
- Contribute to the development, adoption, and delivery of Requirements Engineering (RE) and Requirements Management (RM) processes and practices within MM’s North American practices
- Lead the Requirements Engineering (RE) and Requirements Management (RM) elements of project bids and project delivery within Mott MacDonald Canada, including interfacing with Design, Project and Systems Engineering teams together with budget development as necessary
- Develop and maintain Requirements Engineering (RE) and Requirements Management (RM) processes that ensures quality of delivery and currency of Requirements Engineering (RE) practices within Mott MacDonald
- Provide direct Requirements Management (RM) support and insight to each project’s management and delivery team
- Develop and work with key delivery partners and service providers for projects
- Engage with end clients as and when necessary
- Write, update, and maintain Requirements Management Plans for new and existing projects
- Apply lessons learned and advise on necessary corrective actions for ongoing projects
- Delivery of high quality, verifiable requirements to support all stages of a Project life cycle

Candidate Specification :
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science (preferably IT/ Systems Engineering)
- Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in Requirements Engineering with significant experience in rail and transit projects
- Demonstrable strength in a minimum of one of the following:
- Integration and Interface Management
- IEC 15288: 2015
- Requirements Management
- Experience with DOORS Next is required
- INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification is desirable
- Good communication skills and English fluency
- Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi- disciplined team
- Able to hold competent technical discussions with Client representatives
- Able to interface with domain specialists, design managers and construction project managers, in a competent professional manner
- Broad experience of delivery within major infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of railway systems and / or operation within infrastructure projects / technology development and implementation projects
