Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for a Lead Ecology Surveyor to join the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA).

 

The 330km Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) Project by Anglian Water is under construction and will be completed during AMP8. Beyond this we have a further 260km of water transfer pipelines and associated infrastructure to be delivered in AMP8.

 

What will you be doing as our new Lead Ecology Surveyor?  

You will be responsible for supporting the Technical Leads for bats, mammals, or ornithology, in the delivery of ecological survey work for one or more of the aforementioned technical functions. You will be responsible for leading the coordination and execution of ecology surveys and associated data management.

 

You will collaborate with other teams across the Anglian Water (AW) framework to support the business to meet its needs in bringing environmental and social prosperity to the region through our commitment to love every drop.

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Plan, manage and deliver survey work.

  • Draft and review text for assessment reports.

  • Understand, and take into account, stakeholder input.

 

A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours: 

This job might be for you if you have:  

  • A qualification or equivalent professional experience in a relevant environment or technical discipline.

  • Experience of working at a high-level within teams focusing on Habitat and BNG deliverables or other technical functions (e.g. bats, badger, ornithology, water vole, otter and/or dormouse).

  • Excellent health and safety awareness.

  • Document production abilities using various software inc. excel, word, GIS, PowerPoint.

  • Excellent organisational skill and attention to detail

Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott MacDonald.

This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
