The Technical Documentation Specialist plays a key role in our Digital Platform Services by supporting our Service and Product leads and their teams in creating clear and concise documentation and collateral to help our Digital Innovators create our next generation of products and solutions. You will work on a range of strategic initiatives, covering platform services across our Digital Solutions Platform globally.
The Platform Services team is a portfolio of enabling services that are managed as a collective Product. These services interact with other products (and services) as both a customer and technical architect to support/enforce consistent patterns across the Moata Platform.

Responsibilities-
Producing High-Quality Documentation:
- Collaborate with internal teams (such as developers, quality engineers, and product managers) to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product.
- Create clear and concise documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Write user-friendly content, including user interface text, online help, and developer guides.
- Own and manage the Moata section (Platform Services) for the Digital Solutions Playbook (website)
- Mock-up and then develop tutorials to assist end-users in using various applications effectively.
Software Familiarity:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/365, SharePoint, GitHub and DevOps.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development processes.
- Experience with Content Management and Web design – Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Experience in building multimedia resources and associated content for publication
- Manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks
Content Analysis and Maintenance:
- Analyse existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
- Maintain the information architecture of documentation.

Experience:
- Demonstrable and relevant experience in technical writing for Developer Platforms and Software Products

- Think creatively and inspire others through the ability to clearly document and paint a clear picture which can be followed by a myriad of differing skill levels.
- They must also be highly adaptable in a multi-disciplinary environment with the ability to work across multiple products, services and teams.
- Quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into easily understandable text and visuals.
- Prepares mock-ups to agree scope and iterates according to feedback
- Strong written skills in English.

- Ability to communicate between developers, quality engineers, product managers and other internal stakeholders to gather feedback and documentable information.
- Active listening, ability to build rapport and establish trust.
