About the business unit

Mott MacDonald’s support services are the driving force behind our organisation enabling us to run efficiently and effectively. The team works collaboratively to offer specialist advice, best practice and technology to all areas of our business specifically designed for our global reach.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, impact-driven Product Manager to join our growing AI Solutions team. This role is a rare opportunity to help shape how AI is applied, responsibly and at scale, across a global engineering, consulting and design business.

Lead the development and scaling of AI‑enabled products that improve delivery quality, decision‑making and productivity. You will partner with data scientists, engineers, designers and domain experts to ship valuable products and, as you grow, take end‑to‑end ownership of a product portfolio.

What You’ll Do

  • Product strategy & vision: Support the definition of product strategies for a wide range of AI initiatives across the company. Help shape roadmaps that balance innovation, feasibility, and business impact.
  • Discovery & validation: Lead user research, stakeholder interviews, and rapid validation efforts to understand needs and uncover opportunities for AI application.
  • Delivery leadership: Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, designers, and domain experts to ship valuable AI-enabled products and features.
  • Prioritisation & planning: Help manage backlogs, define success metrics, and maintain momentum across agile delivery cycles.
  • Scaling ownership: Take increasing ownership of specific AI solutions, driving their vision, delivery, and adoption independently.
  • Ethical & responsible AI: Champion Responsible AI and our AI governance framework in every product decision.

What You’ll Bring

  • Product management experience delivering digital products end-to-end (B2B/enterprise preferred but not essential).
  • Proven track record of delivering digital products from discovery through to launch and iteration.
  • Experience working with technical teams (data/ML/analytics) and shipping AI‑enabled features.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to bring stakeholders on the journey and explain complex ideas simply.
  • Curiosity and comfort in exploring emerging technologies, familiarity with modern AI product patterns (e.g., retrieval + grounding, evaluation, guardrails, LLMOps) and tools.

Why Join Us

  • Be at the forefront of AI transformation in a mission-driven, risk-aware organisation.
  • Work on meaningful real-world problems with tangible impact.
  • Gain mentorship and growth opportunities from experienced Product leaders to take on end-to-end product ownership and responsibilities.
  • Join a collaborative, curious, and supportive team that values experimentation, measurement and pragmatism.

We are actively recruiting a diverse workforce that is reflective of the communities we serve. We recognise that differences in ability, skills and experience are a strength and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.

UK Immigration

Mott MacDonald Ltd. are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK. This decision is as a consequence of the changes made to the Skilled Worker route by the UK Government in April 2024. We continue to welcome applications from candidates who are eligible for alternative immigration routes in the UK, that do not require sponsorship as a Skilled Worker now or in future.
