Defense equipment

Advancing defense equipment capability.

Defense technology is evolving rapidly – from autonomous systems through to advanced materials and the integration of artificial intelligence into military vehicles.

Armed forces need to have cutting-edge hardware so they are able to respond to existing and emerging threats.

While staying the course and controling costs on the delivery of long-term projects and programs, they also need to push the boundaries of defense equipment innovation.

Working in partnership with manufacturers is essential to achieve this, and it requires engagement with technical experts from across the delivery supply chain. It is vital that all personnel understand the threats being faced and the optimal condition for equipment to perform.

What can we do for you?

We work for defense agencies alongside investors, contractors and manufacturers, to design and deliver equipment programs that provide defense capability on land, at sea, and in the air.

We can help you:

Plan strategically

By clarifying goals, considering future uncertainties and risks, and robustly assessing options, we help you make the best long term decisions.

Optimize program design

With the right partners on board, governed by appropriate incentives and risk sharing, we optimize program design with effective schedules, cost estimates, and controls.

Deliver with certainty

We manage programs with accountability, communication, and collaboration, integrating the latest digital solutions to provide greater assurance on delivery.

Sustain performance

The purpose-built support facilities we deliver are designed to sustain the performance of equipment for the long term.

Services we provide

Optimizing defense equipment programs for readiness

Our global network of technical experts have a deep understanding of defense and security, and they can drive transformative outcomes in equipment platforms or programs.

Our experience

We’ve worked in the defense sector for over four decades and have extensive global experience in managing and planning equipment programs. Some of our recent work has included:

  • Defense equipment and support, UK
We are working for the UK’s defense equipment procurement agency in support of multiple equipment programs, offering project and program management, project controls, and other services, and working closely with manufacturers to help meet the needs of end users and allow for a well-rounded defense capability. These equipment platforms include: Air: C130J, Typhoon and Hawk aircraft; Land: Challenger 2, Puma, Merlin and Gazelle; and Sea: Type 31 Frigate.
  • Five Eyes and NATO, globally
We are defense consultant to the Five Eyes Security Alliance and NATO in support of their domestic and overseas programs.
  • HMNB Clyde, Faslane, UK
We run the base maintenance program at HM Naval Base Clyde in Scotland, managing the crews of technicians who carry out vital work to keep the fleet of nuclear submarines seaworthy to maintain the UK’s continuous at-sea deterrent.
  • NATO future surveillance and control, globally
As part of the Boeing ABILITI Consortium, we supported NATO to redefine how it will conduct aerial surveillance following the retirement of the Airborne Warning and Control System fleet in 2035. We conducted roadmapping and assessed the lifecycle costs, risk management, and through-life management of over 20 constituent systems capable of providing future surveillance.
