Mott MacDonald has appointed Sarah Lambert as its state manager for Western Australia and David Lenyszyn as its mining and resources leader. Both based in Perth, these strategic appointments are part of the firm's ongoing commitment to growing its team and supporting the evolving needs of its clients in Western Australia.
As state manager for Western Australia, Sarah will focus on growing the strength and capability of the team through a continued focus on technical excellence and outstanding service to their current and expanding client base. Sarah has over 15 years of experience as a strategic leader, developing and supporting high-performing and collaborative teams. With both international and local engineering consultancy experience, Sarah has supported the delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects for both public and private clients.
David joins Mott MacDonald with over 20 years of experience in project and engineering management in the transport and mining markets, within Australia and internationally. David's expertise spans the entire life-of-mine across a range of commodities including iron ore and critical minerals,from feasibility studies and large-scale CAPEX project developments to brownfield expansions, sustaining capital programs, and strategic asset management.

These appointments follow the firm’s expansion of its Perth-based team with the 2024 acquisition of Merz Consulting, an Australian engineering and energy consultancy business specialising in power distribution, transmission and generation design and project delivery.
