Mott MacDonald has been awarded the Social Value Management Certificate Level 2 by Social Value International (SVI) just six months after becoming the first engineering, management and development consultancy to achieve Level 1.
The certificate recognises Mott MacDonald’s implementation of methods and practices that measure, manage and maximise social value across its global business including its impact on, and role in, society.
Mott MacDonald regional head of social value Caron Dunlop said: “I am delighted that we have been successfully awarded the Social Value International Level 2 accreditation. This demonstrates our commitment to embedding robust social value management systems, processes and practices throughout our business that allow us to have a positive impact on the communities where we work.
“Since we attained Level 1 in August 2023, we have implemented a series of upskilling and capacity building workshops for our staff and developed our social value toolkit. We have also embedded our social value management approach on our projects and launched our social value delivery model.”
“We are now focused on working toward Level 3 and continuously improving what we do and how do it. This will allow us to deliver great benefits for our teams, supply chain partners, clients and the communities where we work.”
SVI is a global standard setter for social value and impact management, working with its members, networks, and partners to embed core principles for social value measurement and analysis. There are three levels within the Social Value Management Certificate framework – Level 1 recognises commitment to social value, Level 2 is awarded for implementation of a social value management system and Level 3 is granted for maximising the approach to social value measurement.
