Mott MacDonald will help Transport for London (TfL) drive forward its vision to be a strong, green heartbeat for the city, following its appointment to the land referencing lot of the Property Development and Consultancy Framework. The framework provides multiple services to TfL, Places for London and the Greater London Authority and will also be made available for London Boroughs to use.
Land referencing plays a vital part in the development of infrastructure and regeneration in London. Mott MacDonald will be providing a range of services through its land consultancy team, including identifying people and organisations that have a legal interest in property or land which may be affected by the development of a project.
TfL is one of the world's largest urban transport organisations and has direct control or influence over transport facilities or services for nearly eight million customers, making almost 21 million journeys every day. It is also one of London’s largest landowners, with over 5,500 acres of land that are managed by TfL’s property arm, Places for London.
Gerard Fitzpatrick, Mott MacDonald client director for TfL, said: “TfL has recognised that our exceptional capability, knowledge and digital solutions offer the added value it needs to deliver its vision for the city.
“TfL’s ambitions are founded on values that align with Mott MacDonald and its purpose, to use our expertise for the benefit of our clients and the communities they serve. We’ve created a specialist team to work closely with TfL providing the very best of our technical capabilities with a clear focus on delivering the social outcomes that are so important.”
The contract is for an initial duration of two years.
