Located in Mobile, Alabama, the Airbus Final Assembly Line is the first new US aircraft factory in many years. In association with Hoar Program Management, Mott MacDonald was proud to provide program management for this landmark project.
Solution
Covering 18,000 square feet (1,670 square meters), Flight Works Alabama is an experience center like no other. Mott MacDonald provided design and construction oversight for this innovative learning center.
Flight Works Alabama offers excitement, learning, and workforce opportunities. It features an interactive exhibition area, classrooms, a collaboration room, a workshop, a restaurant, and a gift shop.
Outcome
Field trips to the Discovery Space introduce students to the science of flight. College and university instructors teach adults the skills they need to succeed in the aerospace industry.
