Biography
Dedicated to solving the social challenges around sustainability and decarbonisation, Craig Lucas is a recognised expert in energy systems, policy, R&D and innovation management.
As client director for energy networks, Craig is responsible for managing Mott MacDonald’s support to our largest clients in the sector, helping them in their aim to decarbonise the UK’s energy systems.
An electrical engineer by profession, Craig has extensive experience of deploying and de-risking new technologies into the energy system, building the strategic and business rationale for change and designing governance and programmes to support project execution. His background in international energy consulting, the civil service and a global energy utility, as well as his experience in the transport and telecommunications industries, makes him ideally placed to help clients address the challenges and opportunities of a changing energy market.
