What do you enjoy about working here?

Tell us about your specialism and why you chose it

I specialise in the environment, and I chose it because it was an area that I was passionate about. There are lots of different specialist fields that fall under the environmental umbrella, so my role is to bring a broader understanding of the issues we face. I then work closely with our specialists across the organisation to create teams where people can perform at their best!

Why did you choose to join Mott MacDonald?

The culture fostered by Mott MacDonald’s employee-ownership model was important to me.

It was also really exciting working with such experienced colleagues and having the opportunity to contribute to the excellent work that we do.

How has your career progressed since joining?

I first started at Mott MacDonald as part of an internship in the Leeds office and during the last eight years I have worked on more than 30 projects across a broad range of environmental services. I have also undertaken a placement with our marketing team and been involved in various stakeholder engagement events. I transferred to our Dubai office last year.

What have you learnt while working at Mott MacDonald?

Mott MacDonald doesn’t just teach you the technical skills you require to do your job successfully, it develops your broader skills, including managing and supporting other people.

Providing flexibility and opportunity for growth naturally fosters excellence and innovation. I believe that is a big reason why people stay for so long.

How do you demonstrate Technical Excellence in your work?

I am the environment practice lead for the Middle East. This means I am responsible for delivering our environmental practice plan for the region, which is developed in collaboration with our global environment practice lead. It is focused on collaboration, developing our people, supporting business development and safeguarding our technical quality and reputation.

The UK, UAE, Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
