Job Description
The key to a successful economy and thriving society is the development of safe, efficient and inclusive transport networks. This is where our graduate transport modellers come in. In today’s world, we face many challenges such as global warming and a constantly growing population; we’re passionate about the role transport plays in creating solutions for these challenges.
The complexities of transport networks and peoples’ travel behaviours mean that for any transport investment you need to fully understand the benefits and impacts and the extent to which it will meet our long-term needs. Whether your interest is on roads, railways or airports, individual schemes, strategies, events or an entire city, to help our clients shape a well evidenced plan for the benefit of society.
🌟 What You’ll Do
As a transport modeller, you will play a key role in supporting a wide range of transport planning activities and provide the evidence-base which underpins the decision making for investment in transport schemes and policies. You’ll develop specialist transport modelling software skills, programming skills and data analytics, to create transport models which represent the transport network, the demand for travel and the travel choices and behaviours that individuals make. You will calibrate the models against real world data and then use them to forecast a range of possible future scenarios and test the impact of transport schemes and policies. Your ability to interpret the results of the models and communicate them to colleagues and clients will help influence decision making and shape the future of our transport networks.
This role will also offer opportunities to contribute to transport modelling projects in Spain, depending on business needs and project alignment.
Why You’ll Thrive Here
We’re proud of our award-winning reputation and the trust our clients place in us. But what truly sets us apart is our culture - one that celebrates collaboration, values diversity, and prioritises wellbeing.
