Our advisory team is leveraging our existing client partnerships, while complementing our traditional engineering services to better meet our clients' needs and help them realize their goals. With a focus on alternative procurement, project delivery, and due diligence work, our team is ambitiously growing. 


Due to recent project success and the continued growth of our advisory team, we are seeking to recruit an Advisory Consultant with strong commercial acumen and due diligence project experience. ex 

 

Typical work will involve: 

  • Supporting our clients with strategic advice for the procurement and capital expenditure of their infrastructure programs and projects; 

  • Supporting the development of procurement documentation, including but not limited to alternative forms of procurement such as P3s, CMGCs, and PDBs; 

  • Supporting a range of projects with structured decision-making, options assessment/appraisal, the development and delivery of procurement strategy. 

  • Reviewing and analyzing existing client procurement documents and identifying improvements for future tendering processes. 

  • Engaging stakeholders to capture lessons learned and define requirements. 

  • Conducting market analysis and benchmarking. 

  • Preparing tender documentation for client RFPs, including adapting client templates and developing technical specifications for various project types. 

  • Delivering due diligence mandates, including lender’s technical advisory services for project financing. 

  • Delivering due diligence reports assessing borrower readiness for project financing, including red flag reports and risk overviews. 

  • Reviewing credit agreements and loan requirements and assessing projects for compliance with project financing requirements. 

  • Maintaining ongoing communication with stakeholders, including issuance of RFIs. 

  • Project management mandates; 

  • Drafting reports and project audits; 

  • Internal project management (including budgets) and reporting; and 

Candidates who can demonstrate the following skills and experience will be considered for the role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advance degree or professional certifications considered an asset. 

  • 5+ years of career experience related to the project, commercial and procurement management. 

  • Experience in various procurement models such as P3, Design Build (DB), Progressive Design Build (PDB), and Construction Manager / General Contractor (CM/GC) is advantageous. 

  • Understanding of procurement processes, tender documentation, and commercial management, supported by experience in the construction industry and across diverse project types. 

  • Experience with commercial and financial management of projects / programs,  and an understanding of contractual language. 

  • Ability to manage client relationships and balance multiple priorities to drive successful project outcomes. 

  • Experience in projects within multiple sectors (e.g. Built environment, Transportation, Water, Energy, etc.) is advantageous; 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working within a team; 

  • Excellent written and presentation skills; 

  • Positive attitude, team player.
