Overview of the role
The Early Careers Talent Aquisition Advisor stands as a cornerstone within our function. While the primary emphasis of this role revolves around delivering our talent acquisition efforts and offering a premier candidate experience, the individual will also be the advocate for our talent acquisition systems. This role embodies versatility and a genuine commitment to sustaining Mott MacDonald's reputation as an employer of choice. Predominantly focussing on managing high-volume recruitment of graduates, apprentices, and placement students into our multidisciplinary business units. 

 

Our Early Careers team is based across two locations: Croydon and Birmingham, so you have the option to work in either office, with some travel between the two, as well as the opportunity for remote working. 

 

Primary Duties:

  • Open and manage high volume requisition requests, ensuring all required information is collected
  • Manage a pipeline of candidates which involves screening applications, shortlisting, arranging interviews and managing the offer process
  • Maintain and regularly update the applicant tracking system, ensuring data accuracy and real-time tracking of recruitment metrics
  • Manage and deliver on several campus and virtual career fairs, representing Mott MacDonald as an employer of choice
  • You’ll work closely with your hiring managers to fully understand their hiring needs, supporting them through the recruitment process, delivering upon targeted recruitment strategies to hire the best talent
  • You’ll provide an excellent candidate experience from point of contact through to offer, ensuring a consistent and fair approach throughout the selection process
  • Support projects dedicated to refining the recruitment process, always with the goal of enhancing candidate experience in mind
  • Collaborate with the broader talent acquisition team, ensuring synergy and shared learnings

 


Candidate specification
Essential:

  • Prior experience in early careers recruitment or talent acquisition, emphasising direct application management ideally within a high-volume setting
  • Experience delivering an excellent candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Experience of working in a large complex matrix organisation or be able to demonstrate an understanding of what this requires
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences
  • Proficiency in recruitment tools and applicant tracking systems
  • Willing and able to deliver presentations to large groups of students and internal stakeholders, attending in person and online events
  • The role allows individuals to work independently and therefore you need to be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise competing and changing demands
  • Able to confidently use a range of IT systems, including an ATS; and Microsoft packages – specifically Outlook; PowerPoint; Excel and Word
  • Able to work across multiple projects at any one time, as well as leading projects and working with others to see tasks through to completion
  • Able to approach challenges with a positive approach
  • Strong communication skills and able to adapt style to suit audience
  • Passionate about solving problems and able to work under pressure during peak recruitment periods
  • Curious, self-starter who will ask for support when needed
  • Great attention to detail, with a focus on data accuracy

 

Desirable:

  • Experience using SAP SuccessFactors
