We are looking to welcome a CAD drafter/BIM designer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in the preliminary layout of complex projects, defining appropriate drawings and information.
Performs drafting to accepted client, company, and/or national standards, e.g., symbols, nomenclatures, engineering terms, etc.
Supports design modifications from provided sketches and/or data when prototypes are not available.
Work collaboratively with others (Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers) in a team environment to resolve design/drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of all deliverable products and services in assigned areas of responsibility.
Willingness to learn new skills to improve design capabilities.
Requires a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.
Our team of professionals provides cost-effective and innovative engineering solutions for the North American utility and power industry with unprecedented success. We’re looking for a electrical CAD drafter to join our team to continue our success and invite applications from candidates with the following:
Associate's degree or certification, and two years of drafting experience; or high school graduate with four years of drafting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with the latest version of AutoCAD/ 3D and Civil 3D. Revit experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills are essential for team-based working.
Experience with or willingness to learn MicroStation is a plus.
Experience in drafting for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is a plus.
Design experience in creating electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, P&IDs, elementary diagrams and wiring drawings.
