We are seeking a Facilities Manager to join the program delivery team for a high-profile transport infrastructure program in Los Angeles. This program is of national and international significance, supporting the city’s readiness for a global mega event. The Facilities Manager will lead multi-disciplinary teams in delivering rail and/or bus systems, transit facilities, and operational, administrative, and maintenance facilities. The role will oversee planning, execution, and overall management of complex facilities projects, ensuring integration with the wider program objectives.
Job Duties:
Lead multi-disciplinary teams and provide direction and oversight to accomplish project goals.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and budget allocation.
Oversee design deliverables such as plans, specifications, design analyses, estimates, engineering studies, and feasibility reports.
Identify project resource requirements and allocate them effectively, considering skills, availability, and budget constraints.
Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate project execution activities with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of milestones.
Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations and industry standards.
Monitor project finances, track expenses, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
Foster effective communication among team members and stakeholders. Prepare and deliver progress reports, dashboards (inc. KPI metrics), project updates, and presentations.
Evaluate and manage project changes, including scope variations, timeline adjustments, and resource reallocations.
Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
Over 15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of project management experience on large-scale rail transit and/or facilities projects.
Strong understanding of design and construction, building systems/components, technology, contract administration, and project delivery methods.
Proven knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with ability to develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Professional Engineer (PE), Structural Engineer (SE), or Registered Architect (RA) license, or ability to obtain within six months.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

The expected salary for this position is $169,000 - $207,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
