Job Profile 

The Junior MEP Engineer will be responsible for supporting the procurement activities related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within construction projects. This role involves sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery to meet project schedules. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of MEP systems, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Main responsibilities include 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies for MEP materials and services. 

  • Source and evaluate suppliers, ensuring they meet quality standards and project requirements. 

  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company. 

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. 

  • Monitor and track delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of materials and equipment. 

  • Collaborate with the project team to understand material requirements and timelines. 

  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier information, contracts, and delivery schedules. 

  • Assist in resolving any procurement-related issues that may arise during the project lifecycle. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to MEP procurement. 

 

The candidate must have 

  • Prior experience in industrial project. 

  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and materials. 

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills. 

  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 

  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving 

  • Experience with ERP systems. 

 

Minimum qualification 

  • Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering 

  • Experience:  4 to 5 Years.  

  • Industry: Industrial Projects 

  • Functional Area:  As mentioned above.
