About the Role 

Are you ready to lead the future of urban mobility? We are seeking a dynamic Rail Systems Manager to oversee and drive the delivery of cutting-edge rail systems for a high-profile metro station enhancement project.

 

This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure of a major city, working alongside top-tier professionals and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of advanced rail technologies.

 

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

 

  • Lead the rail systems scope: Define, align, and monitor all rail system design tasks with the design-build contractor, including system interfaces and integration.
  • Oversee installation & commissioning: Supervise telecoms, SCADA, and power systems related to rail infrastructure.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Engage with client technical teams, station operators, and maintainers to proactively manage risks and ensure smooth construction progress.
  • Progress reporting: Provide clear, concise updates and technical briefings to the client on design solutions and site activities.
  • Document review: Evaluate construction documents, shop drawings, method statements, and as-built records to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Drive delivery: Push discipline progress and guide contractors toward successful project outcomes.
  • Design coordination: Work closely with the design review team to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Site leadership: Supervise inspectors and surveyors, maintain daily logs, and produce comprehensive daily reports.
  • Schedule & resource planning: Coordinate with contractors to optimize timelines and workforce allocation.
  • HSE champion: Lead the implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
  • Quality assurance: Prepare inspection checklists and ensure all activities align with approved drawings and standards.
  • Final documentation: Maintain records of approved documents for seamless client handover.

 

Candidate specifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (relevant discipline).
  • Proven experience in Middle East rail projects (metro, LRT, high-speed rail).
  • Strong command of system integration and cross-discipline interfacing.
  • Expertise in ICT, ELV, Security, OCS, AFCs, and related systems.
  • Solid understanding of telecommunications and SCADA systems (PRTUs, ERTUs).
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
