The Opportunity  

 

Our Project Strategy & Delivery team is looking for a key individual to be our Queensland Project Controls Manager to support the delivery of our committed work, and growing pipeline of prospects for government and institutional clients. Our engagements include design and advisory services across all our sectors of Energy, Transport, Buildings, and Water where we enjoy the privilege of working with premier clients. 

 

You will be pivotal in both the successful delivery of our commitments on time and on budget but also in advising clients in establishing their own project controls functions, and have the opportunity to:

 

  • Scoping and establishing fit for purpose project controls processes and frameworks to support on time and on budget commercial outcomes of our services engagements 

  • Mentoring and developing project controls skills within and beyond your team 

  • Performing complex project controls analysis and reporting on our high-profile engagements in collaboration with the project management and technical teams 

  • Optimising processes by utilising and expanding digital tools (including in-house and vendor supported solutions) and interfacing with our international colleagues 

  • Collaborating with our Program Management team to help clients develop and deliver their programs on time and on budget 

  • Integrating and administering MS Project and Primavera P6 programs to undertake Earned Value Management 

 

 

About You 

 

As a senior member of the team, you will have focused on improving commercial outcomes for both your clients and our projects. You will; 

 

  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications such as engineering, project management or accounting 

  • Have commercial skills and understanding of relevant consulting and construction delivery models to fit the right project controls solution 

  • Have practical experience of tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Excel and the Power Platform to integrate and gain insights from disparate and obscure data 

  • Have demonstrable ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to develop requirements for reporting solutions including with considering for in-house and vendor supported options when appropriate 

  • Have people management experience and an inclusive working style with a track record of developing others
