About the Role 

We are looking for a Senior ELV/ICT Engineer to join our Building Services team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative ICT, ELV and Security solutions across a diverse portfolio of building projects. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will help develop integrated, efficient and future-ready systems that support our clients' operational and business objectives. 

 

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development through to detailed design and tender documentation. This role offers the opportunity to work with technical specialists across the business while contributing to projects that deliver lasting value for communities and clients across the region.

 

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below: 

  • Carry out conceptual studies for ICT, ELV and Security systems, including space and infrastructure requirements.  

  • Develop ICT, ELV and Security system designs from concept through to detailed design and tender stage documentation.  

  • Prepare technical reports, design specifications and engineering documentation for building systems.  

  • Ensure designs comply with applicable local and international codes, standards and client requirements.  

  • Coordinate with architecture, MEP, structural, utilities and specialist teams to achieve fully integrated designs.  

  • Participate in Client and site meetings and provide technical support to resolve design and coordination issues during project delivery.  

  • Identify cost-effective engineering solutions while maintaining performance, quality and compliance standards.  

  • Support the preparation of design calculations, drawings, engineer's estimates, tender documentation and acceptance records.  

  • Utilise BIM and other digital engineering tools to support project delivery and coordination.  

  • Support continuous improvement and digital ways of working, sharing knowledge and lessons learned.

Candidate Specification:

  • Degree (BEng/BSc/BE) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university 

  • Experience in the design and delivery of ICT, ELV and Security systems within building projects.  

  • Knowledge of structured cabling, active networks, IPTV, IP telephony and wireless access point systems 

  • Experience with security systems including video surveillance, access control, intercom and two-way radio/TETRA systems.  

  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems, PAVA, audio-visual and smart building technologies.  

  • Familiarity with relevant local and international design standards and codes.  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.  

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary and culturally diverse project teams.  

 

Desirable:

  • Membership of, or progress towards membership of, a recognised professional institution.  

  • Experience using Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows.  

  • Experience using Ekahau (WAP simulations), EASE (Electroacoustic simulations) and JVSG (CCTV simulations). 

  • Experience delivering complex building projects within the Middle East region. 

  • Exposure to digital engineering platforms and collaborative design environments.
