Your Opportunity 

We had several recent projects wins to cement our growing presence in the environment market. In Australia, our environment team is currently leading several wind farm EIS and EES projects, supporting major rail, road and water infrastructure projects, as well as pumped hydro projects. You will have the opportunity to help shape our team through our next growth phase. 

We have an opening for a Senior Environmental Consultant in the Sydney office. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects in New South Wales and across Australia.  With a focus on social and environmental outcomes, our team works across a range of sectors including transport, energy, water and defence which you will have the opportunity to: 

 

  • Manage environmental approvals and impact assessment processes on major projects, including coordination of specialist assessments, stakeholder engagement, interfacing across project teams, and documentation. 

  • Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to provide project development and delivery advice in relation to environmental risks and opportunities. 

  • Provide technical support for projects in relation to environmental compliance and management. 

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the Environmental team. 

  • Work collaboratively as part of an integrated sector and across project teams. 

  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Support the development of proposals and bid submissions. 

 

About You 

  • Experience in managing and co-ordinating environmental impact assessment processes and tasks on complex projects as part of multi discipline teams to meet objectives, timeframes and budgets in the NSW market. 

  • Familiarity with NSW State and Commonwealth planning and environment legislation and their application to facilitate the delivery of projects. 

  • Experience delivering projects in the energy, transport, water and / or defence sectors in NSW. 

  • Strong project and commercial management skills including in budgeting, resourcing, and task, scope and programme development. 

  • Clear negotiation and communication skills with varied internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, sustainability, engineering or a related discipline.
