Reporting to the Principal Environmental Consultant, you will be using your specialist skills to carry out tree management and landscape works including tree survey, Tree Preservation and Removal Proposal (TPRP), Compensatory Planting Proposal, landscape and visual impact assessment etc.
Your Next Challenge
• Carry out tree survey, assess the impact on the trees and provide advice on the treatment of the trees;
• Prepare Tree Preservation and Removal Proposal and Compensatory Planting Proposal for submission to the Authority; and liaise with relevant government departments directly for seeking acceptance of the submissions;
• Monitor and supervise landscape/arboriculture related works;
• Liaise with clients and relevant authorities on project matters;
• Taking responsibility for project delivery including time, cost, co-ordination, and stakeholder management;
• Providing technical support in client and project meeting, acting as technical specialist providing advice and solutions to meet client’s requirement;
• Support business development activities.
What You'll Need
• Degree holder in environmental science, horticulture, biology or related discipline. Holding a Master’s degree or above with research experience is an advantage;
• 5 years of practical experience in environmental consultancy or research projects in tree management and/or landscape works;
• Possession of recognized qualification, such as ISA Certified Arborist, is an advantage;
• A strong interest and experience in tree management;
• Familiar with tree species identification;
• Knowledge in undertaking landscape and visual impact assessment;
• Good reporting and presentation skill; and proven analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Proactive, results-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks;
• A sound knowledge of statistical techniques and GIS application would be useful;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Candidates with less experience (1-2 years) may be considered for the position of Environmental Consultant.
