We are looking for an experienced safety officer to assist in ensuring a safe working environment on construction sites by supporting the implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures. 

 

Main responsibilities include 

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. 

  • Monitor the use of safety equipment and ensure it is in good, working condition. 

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks on the construction site. 

  • Recommend and implement preventative measures to mitigate identified risks. 

  • Provide basic safety training and education to workers and contractors. 

  • Ensure all staff members are aware of and understand safety protocols and procedures. 

  • Prepare detailed incident reports and perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. 

  • Investigate accidents and near-misses to identify areas for improvement. 

  • Support the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures. 

  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and regulations. 

  • Liaise with site managers, supervisors, and workers to promote a culture of safety. 

  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving safety measures on-site. 

 

The candidate must have 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 

  • Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong attention to detail and vigilance in identifying safety violations. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Prior construction experience in industrial project. 

 

Minimum qualification 

  • Diploma / BE / BTech in Civil Engineering.  

  • Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety are a plus. 

  • Experience:  4 to 5 Years.  

  • Industry: Industrial Development
