Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager in the Water/Wastewater industry to join our growing team in Jacksonville, FL. This team member will join our engineering group focused on delivery of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Serve as the senior project manager for multiple projects with various municipal clients
- Manage the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, studies, and designs for water sector projects
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications
- Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Prepare preconstruction cost estimates / engineer’s estimates for projects
- Provide management oversight during construction phase of projects for review of shop drawings, RFIs, and design clarifications
- Lead permitting activities with local and state regulatory agencies
- Coordinate and work closely with the folllowing various disciplines in the execution of the work and a team of engineers to provide guidance and mentorship in the execution of designs
- Client account leader in pursuit preparation and development
We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:
- B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer; current registration in Florida or ability to obtain in 6 months
- 15+ years of experience:
- With a broad range of water/wastewater plants, pumping systems, and linear pipelines projects from planning, permitting, construction, and startup
- Capable of managing clients, and production teams for municipal water and wastewater projects.
- Experience leading multi-disciple teams during design and construction
- Mentoring of staff
- Self-starter with ability to lead and manage people and projects
- High motivation and passion to provide exceptional client service
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present effective technical reports.
