Purpose of the role:
Assist the People function, the business, internationally mobile employees, third party suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure that international assignments and relocations are coordinated effectively. The role focuses on managed operational delivery and employee experience across the mobility lifecycle, from initial costing through to repatriation or localisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the business and the People function during bid processes by providing cost estimates and highlighting key considerations
Support the selection of appropriate mobility policies and approaches in consultation with the People function and other stakeholders
Manage a caseload across multiple business units
Collaborate with the business and HR Business Partners on individual moves to:
produce detailed cost estimates for the proposed international assignments / relocations
support approval processes for cost estimates
provide support / facilitation to the business as required throughout the life cycle of the assignment
coordinate assignment documentation including cost projections, compensation balance sheets and assignment letters
Day to day support to local HR and business teams by:
sharing knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements
understanding global mobility processes, roles and responsibilities and how these interlink with the People Function and the business
explaining cost estimates and balance sheets
assisting with immigration related actions if appropriate.
Respond to queries from the People function, business teams, and employees regarding cost estimates
Liaise with third-party vendors to resolve escalated queries and ensure smooth service delivery
Act as a key contact for internationally mobile employees, ensuring clear communication and timely support throughout their move
Support with relocation logistics including visa support, tax setup, relocation services, and payroll setup
With HR Business Partners, deliver pre-move briefings and coordinate third-party involvement for a smooth transition Support case management for moves across the region.
Co-ordinate all third-party suppliers to support the employees’ requirements in line with the Talent Mobility policies
Co-ordinate internal transfer requirements for internationally mobile employees, e.g. payroll, pension, benefits etc.
Responsible for correct usage of case management tools and upkeep of live data through global technology platform
Build and maintain working relationships with key HR and business contacts
Ensure activity is tracked and completed within agreed SLAs/KPIs
Escalate exceptions and policy deviations to the Talent Mobility Manager and the People function
Collaborate with Talent Mobility Specialist Administrators to ensure high quality administrative support
Develop working knowledge of all mobility processes including outsourced providers operational processes and systems
Ensure interested parties are kept informed and apply consistently effective interpersonal skills in handling customer contact at all levels
Candidate Specification:
Prior experience in Talent (Global) Mobility (in-house or vendor-side) with exposure to assignment coordination and cost estimates
An understanding of expatriate compensation and assignment documentation
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a collaborative mindset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cost-conscious environment
Clear and confident communicator across different levels of seniority Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret cost data and support decision-making Culturally aware, discreet, and sensitive to employee needs
Familiarity with Tax, Immigration and Social Security regulations
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills with ability to constantly re-prioritise
Tech-savvy and comfortable working with assignment management software (preferably Equus/ Assignment Pro)
Team player, and able to work effectively and inclusively with remote teams with a view to developing people management skills
Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
