Your Opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Director – Rail in our Transport team in Sydney. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia in a growing sector and working with reputed clients.

This role would suit somebody looking for a new journey, within a growing team and an interest in developing best practice with the local rail industry.

You will have the opportunity to Develop, deliver and execute Mott MacDonald’s rail strategy in NSW including the development, mentoring, coaching of team members to manage projects of increasing complexity, scale and importance whilst leading the development of a ‘Safety First – No Compromise’ culture.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Promoting technical excellence of the work Mott MacDonald delivers to its clients, ensuring best practice project management and commercial principles are followed, and risk management is applied
  • Supporting the NSW Transport Sector, and by extension the Australian Transport Sector business development activities
  • Managing the deliver of projects ensuring technical competence of the team
  • Leading the winning of work and writing proposals.

 

About You

  • Qualifications & Experience
    • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
    • Minimum 15 years’ experience in a leadership capacity preferable in Rail sector
    • Proven capability in managing multi-disciplinary design teams.
