We have an exciting opportunity for mid-level professionals with at least 5 years’ experience to join our business, being placed in the Advisory team in our Indonesia office, as a Senior Urban Planner & Designer. You will join an established yet growing E&S team and specifically Cities team working on capital infrastructure projects in Indonesia, with potential involvement in regional and global projects.

 

We will provide you with the opportunity to work on some the most exciting projects across Indonesia and surrounding countries. 

 

Key responsibilities:

•             Manage projects as project manager or coordinator of the projects related to the core expertise e.g. Urban Planning, Urban Design, Built Environment & Digital

•             Manage stakeholders as required in the projects scope, able to present and discuss with the stakeholders representing the project team.

•             Support management of Cities (Urban Planning, Urban Design) team in terms of workflow, scheduling, and deliverables.

•             Review and ensure quality deliverables are submitted to the Client as contracted reflecting the international quality standard of Mott MacDonald.

•             As Project Manager, manage the projects financials and timesheet allocation using internal MM system, ensuring targeted financial performance.

•             Overall support to the E&S Market in Indonesia, including consultancy services for Urban Planning, Urban Design, Built Environment & Digital (e.g. GIS)

•             Support Business Development activities including meetings, events and other promotional activities

•             Support preparation of EOI, proposals, bids, and CVs for tender submissions

•             Support preparation of deliverables, including project reports, drawings, maps, graphics

•             Preparation of project management documents and tools including prospect & project lists

•             Research and analysis of markets, clients and competitors for a range of relevant sectors

•             Support and coordinate monthly reports

•             Attend and contribute to workshops

 

Candidate Specification:

To apply for this scheme, you will have graduated from 2020 onwards from a reputable university and have achieved, or are expected to achieve, a GPA (IP) of 3.0 or above in one of the following degree disciplines:

•             Background in Architecture, Real State or Design Engineering; Master’s degree a plus

•             Urban Planning & Urban Design (Planologi)

Required software skills:

•             GIS

•             CAD

•             BIM (Optional)

•             Design tools (e.g. Rhino, Grasshopper)

•             Adobe Photoshop/inDesign (Optional)

 

We are looking for graduates with the following characteristics:

•             Proven track record on urban planning, urban design, urban infrastructure, including feasibility and business case projects.

•             Experience in both masterplanning and public participatory approaches in urban planning and urban design

•             Familiarity with urban / spatial planning and land use regulations in Indonesia, including KKPR & Site Plan submissions

•             Good understanding on urban economics, general finance, infrastructure financing, transport planning, environmental and social issues and permitting

•             Demonstrate interest on critical issues such as climate change, GEDSI, and disaster resilience

•             Flexibility, adaptability and great interest in multi-disciplinary advisory consultancy business

•             Committed to accomplish project delivery within tight project timeline with limited supervision

•             Capable of self-learning / autodidact and conduct independent research on new project disciplines or business areas

•             Proficient in the use of design technologies, e.g. GIS & CAD

•             Good visual communication skills using MS Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, etc.

•             Methodical and scientific approach to problem solving

•             Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently

•             Excellent verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members. A TOEFL / IELTS scoring (can be indicative) is preferred.
