Internal recruitment advisor

Job Profile

Mott MacDonald’s thermal and renewables teams are recognised as being a part of one of the most respected and largest consultancies and work on some of the biggest energy projects in the world. From the Tarbela 4th extension project in Pakistan, the world’s biggest earth-filled dam, to the Gemini offshore wind park, one of the largest offshore wind farms. Based in sunny Brighton but recruiting internationally, you’ll recruit and provide support for our global projects and offices.

Job Description

You will primarily focus on the recruitment and support to win work for owner’s engineering activities and projects where specialist experts and contractors are required. This is an extremely varied role where you will be tasked with working with our different teams to understand upcoming requirements and projects and take a proactive approach to recruitment. Social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) and effective marketing campaigns will be your most common tools for delivery.

As a recruitment advisor, you will have complete control over a growing network and database of internationally-recognised experts and contractors. Building relationships with contractors will be second nature to you; understanding their interests, experience, and availability to join Mott MacDonald. Your role will be to further expand our employer brand in existing and new geographical markets.

You'll be working with our key business managers to identify and provide relevant CVs (usually contractors) to support bids and to successfully fill site roles. You'll be responsible for establishing and developing, where required, procedures and processes for effective and efficient delivery. Our contractor recruitment and care is every bit as important to us as our permanent staff recruitment. We provide a first-class recruitment process and candidate experience across the board.

Located in our Brighton office, you will report directly into the resource director and work alongside another recruiter. Our Brighton office has over 300 people and you’ll find a warm, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere. We have an active sports and social society with regular events each month; including: theatre trips, wine tasting, go karting and much more.

Candidate Specification

As a recruitment advisor, you’ll be tasked with the responsibility for recruitment campaigns and the full recruitment life cycle. We'd be really keen to speak with candidates who have:
  • external recruitment experience as a recruitment consultant
  • an applied knowledge of direct candidate attraction techniques
  • experience of developing and drafting unique job descriptions and appealing recruitment campaigns
  • experience of using a bespoke recruitment tool, database or applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • high attention to detail
  • ability to deliver excellent candidate experience in a candidate led market
  • ability to work proactively and manage own workload
  • experience of recruiting internationally or in the energy sector would be an advantage
